The recession is hurting more than a few.
The legendary urban music magazine VIBE created by Quincy Jones in 1992 is shutting down his doors today.

HERACUT
Heracut is a symbiosis of 2 German graffiti artists, Akut and Hera, who have been working together since 2001.
Their work is focused on character painting. Akut started with graffiti at the young age of 14. His paintings consist of a concept that has been mapped out on a computer, high resolution photo material, and a predefined assortment of aerosol paints. Once that's done, Akut assembles his characters dot by dot.
In contrast, Hera doesn't go through the same level of preparation, and has only worked with large dimensions since he started.

COMME DES GARCONS
Text Via Wallpaper*:
True to resourceful form, Comme des Garçons has just launched its economic downturn-beating Black range from the Dover Street Market store.
Whipped up by Rei Kawakubo as an ‘emergency reaction to the recession’, the Black range has been designed to inject a little downturn-defying glamour into the ailing fashion market.
Along with today’s launch in London, eleven Black range concessions will open over the course of June, with six in Japan, one each in Seoul and Hong Kong, and two entirely new stores in Paris and New York.
